‘RECLAMATION’
‘RECLAMATION’ was commissioned by the Museums of History NSW.
STORY:
RECLAMATION is a story of restoration, revitalisation and restitution. At the core of life dwells the fabric of all knowledge; a layered tapestry of the past, present and future which holds all that has been known, is known and will be known, all that is seen and unseen. The fabric of knowledge is knit together by every stone and star, every song and dance, every word and weave, every drawing and tree, every dream and spirit.
The fabric belongs to us all so we are each called to be bearers of truth, preservers of history and protectors of the future, because although the fabric is eternal, it is at the mercy of time, where it can be frayed, faded and fractured, and the threads may be hidden or misplaced...but they are never truly lost.
So, step by step, with care and consideration, together we embark on a journey of rediscovery; to reveal what was hidden and recover what was misplaced. We collaborate and innovate to forge paths and light the way for every person and community to be reunited with the threads of their story, to take back their power and find true RECLAMATION.
